What is a Section J Report?

Section J or Energy efficiency report highlights the energy efficiency requirements for class 3 to 9 buildings in accordance with the  "Section J" part of the National Construction Code (NCC) of Australia Volume one. 

How CAN We HELP

BCA Section J report should be prepared by a qualified person to demonstrate that the building is compliant with the requirements of the NCC Section J, Energy Efficiency. Most of our staffs have more than 10yrs experience and worked for many consulting companies before joining us. Our Section J Reports are based on the Deemed to Satisfy assessment or DTS and can cover the following topics:

  • Part J1 - Building Fabric
  • Part J2 - Glazing
  • Part J3 - Building Sealing
  • Part J4 - Currently does not apply
  • Part J5 - Air-Conditioning and Ventilation Systems
  • Part J6 - Artificial Lighting and Power
  • Part J7 - Hot Water Supply and Swimming Pool and Spa Pool Plant
  • Part J8 - Access for Maintenance and Facilities for Monitoring

  • We Produce the applicable report within the agreed time frame

 NEED A SECTION J REPORT

To obtain a Section J Report from our office, we will initially provide a Fee Proposal for you or your client, detailing the extent and cost of our services. The Fee Proposal is free of charge, and all we need (in PDF),emailed to us at info@energyefficiencycertificate.com.au

And once you agree to go ahead with the fee proposal, additionally we will need:

  • Building floor plans & Elevations;
  • Site plan Sections
  • Window schedule
  • Lighting layouts (Optional)
  • Mechanical drawings (Optional)
